Education happens in political campaigns. An ancient saying holds that teaching has three rules: example, example, and example. Politicians should model the values that children should learn in school – particularly gratitude, kindness, courage, self-mastery, honesty, and civility. They should also avoid rhetorical tricks and statistical manipulation. We pledge to do our best.
